What is Android System SafetyCore? Explained

Many Android users have recently noticed Android System SafetyCore system app on their phones. Since it appeared without any notification or user consent, concerns have been raised.

Is Android System SafetyCore Safe?

The biggest concern surrounding SafetyCore is privacy. Since Google can install apps remotely without user approval, it raises questions about user control and data security.

• The app was installed without the user’s consent.

Future use of the scanning image technology could extend it for other monitoring needs. Because of its silent installation, many Reddit and Mastodon users have labeled SafetyCore as bloatware or spyware

However, the app does not appear to cause any significant performance issues, and there are no confirmed reports that it is harmful. If you are comfortable with Google’s explanation and do not notice any issues, you can leave it as it is.

How to Uninstall the Android System SafetyCore App

If you want to remove or manage SafetyCore, follow these steps:
