Instead of the regular support number, you’ll need to call 1-800-937-8977. That’s T-Mobile’s prepaid support.

Again, they’ll likely ask for your SIM number and IMEI, so have those ready.

This whole process is also pretty fast. Mine was active in under 10 minutes.
